Light Rapid Transit (LRT)
Get to Yonge and Eglinton in 20 minutes! The coming $5.3 billion Eglinton Crosstown LRT will shrink your public transit travel time by up to 60 per cent. Streamlined new, near-zero emission vehicles will travel by surface and underground along a 19-kilometer corridor from Mount Dennis station in Etobicoke to Kennedy station in Scarborough. Future extensions are planned as well.
The Crosstown LRT will link to bus routes, subway and GO transit. Twenty-five sleekly designed new stations and stops are now being built including the Golden Mile stop at Warden and Eglinton just minutes from WE26. With stunning design and art installations planned for the new stations, travel across town will be fast and fun!
